1. Who we are
This website is operated by Wonder Heights International School ("Wonder Heights", "we", "us"), Afienya, Greater Accra, Ghana. For any privacy question or request, contact us at admin@wonderheights.edu.gh or 020 101 6051 / 054 579 7990.
2. What we collect
We only collect personal information that you actively choose to submit through a form on this site. Simply browsing the website does not send us any personal data.
- Enrollment Application form: student first and last name, date of birth, gender, program applied for; parent/guardian name, relationship, country of residence, phone number, email address, and how you heard about us.
- Newsletter sign-up form: your email address only.
3. Local storage on your device
We store one small, non-tracking value in your browser's local storage (whis-theme) to remember whether you prefer light or dark display mode. It contains no personal data, is never transmitted to us, and is not used for tracking, profiling, or advertising.
If you play the student-made game Route 88 in the Wonder Arcade, it saves your game progress (coins, cars, settings and any driver name you type) in your browser's local storage (r88:3d) so you can continue next time. This stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be removed by clearing your browser's site data.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of our own.
4. Optional Facebook reviews widget
The homepage testimonials section can show a "Facebook Reviews" widget displaying genuine reviews from our official Facebook Page. This widget is hosted by Meta/Facebook, not us, and only loads after you click "Show Facebook Reviews" — or automatically once you accept the privacy notice, since at that point you have chosen to proceed on the site. Once loaded, Facebook may set its own cookies and process data according to Facebook's own Privacy Policy, which we do not control. If you prefer not to have Facebook set cookies in your browser, simply don't click to load the widget.
5. How your information is used
Information submitted through our forms is used only to process admissions applications, respond to enquiries, and — for newsletter subscribers — send occasional updates about the school. We do not use submitted information for advertising or sell it to any third party.
6. Where your information is sent
Form submissions are sent directly from your browser to a Google Apps Script endpoint and recorded in a Google Sheet that only authorized school staff can access, so that our admissions team can review applications and enquiries. Google LLC acts as our data processor for this storage and is bound by its own privacy policy for the underlying infrastructure. We do not share your information with any other third party.
7. Children's information
Our programmes serve children from 6 months through college age. Where a form concerns a child (for example, the Enrollment Application), it is submitted by that child's parent or legal guardian, who provides consent to this policy on the child's behalf at the time of submission.
8. How long we keep it
We retain application and enquiry data only for as long as necessary for admissions processing, enrolment record-keeping, and legitimate school administration. You may request deletion of your submitted data at any time (see Section 10).
9. Consent notice
On your first visit, this site shows a short notice summarising this policy. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies of our own, there is nothing further to "opt out" of for our own data practices — the notice is provided for transparency, so you can review this policy before submitting any form or choosing to load the optional Facebook reviews widget.
10. Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted, by emailing admin@wonderheights.edu.gh.
11. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
